Wherejackmetjill.com (WJMJ) offers an innovative approach to online dating. It draws its inspiration from MySpace, Facebook and other social networking applications to offer a fresh take on the usual bland dating sites. WJMJ lets the user to design a personalised home page by moving, adding and removing page elements around the screen to create a profile that reflects that person’s character.

Using Ruby on Rails, we were able to give the site the agility and flexibility to deliver robust, consumer-facing applications in a short space of time. Featured twice on GMTV, WJMJ was also shortlisted at the 2007 Y Design Awards in the ‘Best Technical Achievement’ and ‘Best Application’ categories.
